We have been involved in the business related to containers called casks for more than 40 years since our establishment. Casks are mainly used to transport spent fuel from nuclear power plants under the management policy of ”contributing to the stable supply of energy through the realization of safe and reliable transportation services for radioactive materials.”

In recent years, we have been involved in various aspects of Japan’s nuclear fuel cycle, including the design and development of transportation and storage casks for spent fuel and fresh MOX fuel casks.

In the meantime, we have not only incorporated the latest analysis technology and performed analysis calculations in-house, we have also accumulated achievements for cask maintenance on-site and performed the design, development, supply and maintenance of the lifting tools/pedestals used for casks, as well as various cask handling tools.

We have met the expectations of society and clients as the only ”Total Cask Engineering Company,” providing support through our designs, analysis technology and expertise.

In the future, the role of casks is expected to become increasingly important in safely and efficiently realizing Japan’s nuclear fuel cycle, including the transportation of spent fuel from nuclear power plants.

We also believe that cask technology is necessary and important for the safe transportation and storage of radioactive waste generated by the decommissioning of nuclear power plants, and cask technology will continue to be one of the cornerstones of future nuclear power projects.
